Back in 2008 Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) sold a sophisticated monitoring center to the regime of Iran. This technology makes it possible to observe all phone and mobile-net activities in real-time.
After the presidential election in June 2009 the regime used this technology to crack down on the peaceful and innocent protesters after the post-election rumors.
